Job Summary

The role of IT Support Specialist is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional desktop support services.

This position involves providing technical assistance to all users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring seamless migration of endpoints to cloud-managed solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality desktop support, email, remote, and telephone assistance to all users.
  • Collaborate with the team to migrate endpoints to a cloud-managed solution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of processes, fixes, and procedures for end-user support.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades on related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve network issues across various technologies and platforms.
  • Implement and support security standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Provide support for laboratory IT hardware and software, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Install, maintain, and replace IT peripherals, guaranteeing optimal performance and reliability.
  • Document and communicate fixes and procedures for all issues, enhancing knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
  • Support inventory management using the IT Asset Register, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with Audio/Visual/IT equipment support, guaranteeing smooth operation and minimal downtime.
Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of a Certificate/Diploma in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering excellent technical support.
  • In-depth knowledge of supported Windows client operating systems, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Previous experience supporting hardware and software, with a focus on analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to multi-task and work effectively as part of a team.
