Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Specialist Role

This position plays a vital part in the accounts receivable team, ensuring seamless transaction and invoice processing. As a commercially focused role, it offers the opportunity to broaden experience across the broader finance function.

The daily bank postings and reconciliation process is crucial to maintaining accurate financial records.

  • Daily Bank postings and reconciliation are key responsibilities of this role.
  • This specialist will be involved in the entire accounts receivable cycle from invoicing, credit control, reconciliations, and monthly close.
  • The specialist will support statutory and monthly management accounts preparation, including accounting for debtors and bad debts.
  • This role works with the Team lead to proactively manage ageing debtors.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently is an essential aspect of this position.
  • The specialist will communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments.
  • Following up on failed direct debits and issuing copy invoices as required are also key responsibilities.
  • The specialist deals with customer queries, opens new accounts, and updates contracts.
  • Testing new reports and software updates as necessary is an ongoing task.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts.
  • Ambition, energy, and motivation with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in working with multiple systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
