The Role

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to tight corporate deadlines, ensuring timely submission and accurate reflection of financial performance.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing actual versus budget and forecast data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting of same to measure and evaluate business performance.
  • Manage finance team and work closely with senior management to develop the business, driving growth and profitability.
  • Responsible for year-end audit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory, assess for potential obsolescence and excess stock, optimizing asset utilization and minimizing waste.
  • Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs, including financial performance and annual budgets, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounts, ensuring accurate and timely settlements.
  • Cashflow management, proactively identifying and mitigating potential cash flow risks.

The Person

  • Professional Accounting Qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA.
  • Proven work experience as Financial Controller in a manufacturing company, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Teams and Outlook.
  • Team management and development experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations), with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
