A Mechanical Design Engineer II will lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected and compassionate world.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for leading complex product design activities, including concept development and prototyping. The chosen candidate will create and interpret analyses to determine suitability of design concepts and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring on-time completion of Design Control deliverables;
- Growing and maintaining knowledge current with related technologies;
- Working with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure feasibility of high-volume assembly;
- Translating VoX feedback into product requirements;
- Creating and releasing engineering drawings, reports, and presentations;
- Presenting technical findings or project status to cross-functional teams and management through meeting minutes, design reviews, presentations, and other means of communication.
Additionally, this role involves incorporating risk-based decision-making into the design process and applying Six Sigma methodologies to all aspects of the design/development process.
