Working Site Foreman

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Working Foreman. This position requires a strong trade background, leadership ability, and a commitment to site safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily site operations and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
  • Lead by example in delivering high standards of workmanship and site conduct.
  • Support and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
  • Monitor material usage, deliveries, and ensure proper storage and usage.
  • Coordinate work sequences with the Site Manager and address any issues or delays.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and daily briefings where necessary.
  • Act as a key point of contact for trades and suppliers.
  • Carry out quality inspections and report any non-conformances.
  • Maintain accurate site records and daily diaries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to make decisions on site.
  • Practical knowledge of construction techniques and sequencing.
  • Strong awareness and enforcement of health & safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Others:

This role requires a time-served tradesperson with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Foreperson or similar supervisory role. Previous experience working on educational or public sector construction projects is highly desirable.
