This is a Quality Manager role within our organization.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have ownership, accountability and responsibility for the management of all Quality related activity on assigned Value streams. The focus will be on implementing preventative Quality programs across associated value stream processes as well as mistake proofing product build at source and validating critical processes.

This role includes managing all Quality product and process issues on a timely basis, identifying root cause, corrective action, and implementing identified solutions with control plans.

This position is a key member of the Value stream team and works closely with Product Group leads, Training instructors, PDI teams, Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Supplier Quality Teams, and Customer facing Quality Teams.

This role also sets and achieves Value Stream Quality related Product and Process KPIs, ensuring products meet design requirements and associated ICQ metrics.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Engineering with 5 years experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Design Engineering is essential.
  • Strong Product and Process knowledge in areas such as IRPDP, NPI.
  • Competence in data analysis, root cause analysis, and timely implementation of corrective actions.

Responsibilities
  • Early identification of Quality related Product and Process potential issues through DFMEA, PFMEA, and associated control plans.
  • Managing Validation at source of all key processes with early identification and instant response to potential issues.
  • Management of Quality metrics, setting continuous improvement goals, reporting status through various review processes.
  • Manage Quality related Corrective Actions, ensuring all issues are closed in a timely manner.
  • Feedback performance at various stages of the process, to suppliers, design teams, quality teams, and operations teams, leading to performance improvements when required.
  • Monitor A&B warranty claims to identify and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Analyze production data, product and process verification steps, complete problem breakdown and analysis when required.
  • Record and Report daily issues during Gemba walks, MDI reviews, managing A3's when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all actions taken, Corrective Action, Engineering changes, process changes to ensure accurate data and traceability per Serial Number is maintained.

  • Ensure all Product and Process areas of responsibility meet required criteria and standards, such as ISO standards, Customer audits.
  • Demonstrate strong engineering and technical knowledge, both on product and systems knowledge, making timely and accurate decisions resulting in Product and process improvements meeting customer expectations and requirements.
