Job Description

As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and support to individuals and families through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery-orientated interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective, recovery-orientated, high-quality, team-based care.
  • To conduct assessments and provide interventions for children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.
  • To contribute towards reducing the need for acute hospitalization.
Requirements:
  1. Registration with the Psychiatric Nurses Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland is mandatory.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience is required.
  3. At least 2 years of experience working in a CAMHS setting is necessary.
  4. Successful completion of a post-registration programme of study verifying a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award is required.
  5. Evidence of ongoing professional development is essential.
