Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at one of our top medical device clients based in the Kilkenny region.

The selected candidate will work within our HVAC / Building Services and utilities maintenance department, assisting with projects, vendor inquiries, and troubleshooting facilities and utilities systems.

Responsibilities
  • Work within the HVAC / Building Services and utilities maintenance department, assist with projects, vendor inquiries, and troubleshooting facilities and utilities systems.
  • Support, learn, and understand processes of installing, repairing new, modified, or existing equipment within complex manufacturing areas, offices, and plant facilities.
  • Assist and support senior members of the facilities team in field installation, responding to breakdowns, repairs, general maintenance works to site apparatus including air source heat pumps, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air handlers, pumps, control systems, compressed air systems, and facility building services related equipment.
  • Ensure all plant facilities are maintained and serviced in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s) or as recommended by the manufacturer.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience working within a facilities role with a mechanical or electrical bias.
  • Level 7 NFQ qualification or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work in a busy team environment as well as working independently, taking the initiative when necessary.
