As a Catering Service Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering an efficient and timely service to patients while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing a high-quality catering service in line with infection control standards and protocols
  • Taking patient meal orders, paying attention to dietary requirements and providing excellent customer service
  • Serving meals and communicating with nursing staff regarding patient dietary needs and preferences
  • Cleaning equipment and associated work areas in accordance with cleaning schedules and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Working closely with the Catering Supervisor, Ward Managers, Hospital Dietician, and other staff members to ensure nutritional and dietary requirements are met and optimizing workflow

Maintaining accurate temperature records and monitoring fridge, freezer, and dishwasher temperatures as per HACCP standards to prevent foodborne illnesses

Familiarising yourself with hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines directly related to your area of work and staying up-to-date with industry best practices

Participating in the review of policies, procedures, and guidelines under the direction of the chapter lead/department manager to drive continuous improvement

Attending bi-annual HACCP training sessions and mandatory education sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge

Supporting lean initiatives to improve waste reduction and quality, and contributing to a positive work environment
