Key Role: Reinsurance Accounting Professional

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Finance team. The role focuses on technical reinsurance accounting, working closely with colleagues across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day reinsurance accounting from cedants, including reconciliations and settlements.
  • Assist in the month-end process, ensuring accurate reporting and deadlines are achieved.
  • Prepare data and reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and strengthen reconciliations and financial control processes.
  • Liaise with actuarial and underwriting teams to support cross-functional reporting.
  • Respond to audit requests and contribute to regulatory submissions.
  • Support planning, forecasting, and budgetary processes.
Your Essential Skills:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' PQE in insurance/reinsurance or audit of same OR minimum 6 years' hands-on experience in reinsurance technical accounting if not qualified.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in managing reconciliations and technical accounts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
