We are looking for an experienced Fibre Network Designer to join our team in a 12-month contract with the potential for extension. This role involves designing and planning fibre networks from Point of Presence to premises, including creating Low-level and High-Level Designs.
Responsibilities:
- Fibre Network Design: Design fibre Passive Optical Networks (PONs) / FPA using various systems and design tools.
- Planning and Designing: Plan and design FTTX networks from the Point of Presence to the premises.
- Design Validation: Validate fibre routes and identify suitable demarcation points, considering factors like pole and chamber viability, connector locations, splice points, duct congestion, and homes passed.
- Bills and Construction: Prepare Bill of Materials, Bill of Quantities, and construction packs.
- Design Risk Assessments: Conduct Design Risk Assessments to ensure compliance with architectural and technical standards.
- Project Updates: Provide project updates, data analysis, and file comparisons.

- Proficiency in Tools: Proficiency with MS Office and IT tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to deliver results within tight deadlines.
