Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Senior Occupational Therapist in Complex Spine and Orthopaedic Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to contribute to the development of high-quality care for children with complex spinal and orthopaedic conditions.
The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-informed best practice in occupational therapy services. They will also be responsible for managing a complex caseload, coordinating and supporting the workforce to meet the needs of children admitted to hospital for spinal and orthopaedic surgeries.
The successful candidate will have 5 years satisfactory post-qualification experience, with 3 years recent and satisfactory experience within the field of Orthopaedics and/or complex spinal surgeries. They will also have experience and evidence of postgraduate training within specialist areas, a proven record of clinical/academic achievement, and development in the specialist area.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of high-quality care for children with complex spinal and orthopaedic conditions.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-informed best practice in occupational therapy services.
- Manage a complex caseload, coordinating and supporting the workforce to meet the needs of children admitted to hospital for spinal and orthopaedic surgeries.
