Hardware Validation Expert

This is a key role within a growing engineering division for someone with strong experience in hardware testing, validation planning, and debugging in regulated environments.

You will take full ownership of test planning, execution, and documentation for both new and existing hardware platforms. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet high standards of quality, performance, and safety across wireless and low-power devices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans for hardware validation
  • Perform hands-on testing, fault-finding, and root cause analysis on electronic assemblies
  • Define test methodologies, fixtures, and custom test setups for prototype and pre-production units
  • Collaborate with design and embedded teams to improve product robustness
  • Support regulatory compliance testing (EMC, environmental, functional safety)
  • Drive continuous improvement in validation processes and documentation standards
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians in the test team

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in hardware test/validation or electronics development
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of analogue/digital circuit design and debugging
  • Experience with lab instrumentation
  • Knowledge of test development for microcontroller-based systems
  • Comfortable working with schematics, layouts, and hardware design documentation
  • Background in regulated industries
