Registar in Oncology is a key role at MatchMedics, requiring a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with various oncological conditions.

The key responsibilities of this role include conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans in collaboration with senior medical staff. The successful candidate will also participate in the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncological treatments, ensuring adherence to established protocols and patient safety guidelines.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration is essential in this role. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care to oncology patients.

Patient Education is a vital part of this role. The Registar in Oncology will provide patients and their families with information regarding diagnoses, treatment options, potential side effects, and supportive care resources, ensuring clear communication and empathetic support.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A minimum of 3 years post-internship experience in Oncology is required, as well as eligibility for registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and a MB BCh BAO or equivalent medical degree.
