Job Summary

The Behavioural Therapist will be responsible for undertaking functional assessments and developing multi-element behaviour support plans to support individuals with challenging behaviours.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to promote positive behaviour support across the organisation and contribute to enriching the lives of those we support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct functional assessments to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours
  2. Develop multi-element behaviour support plans in collaboration with relevant others
  3. Oversee the implementation and monitoring of each behaviour support plan
  4. Provide training to front-line staff on behaviour support strategies
  5. Quality check personal plans for each individual as per policy and provide structured quality improvement plans

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A psychology degree or equivalent qualification
  2. MSc ABA or equivalent qualification
  3. BCBA certification preferred but not essential
  4. Two years minimum experience within a similar role or health/social care setting
  5. Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a nationwide multidisciplinary team
