Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the transportation and logistics team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver transportation and logistics related projects and initiatives.
  • Plan and schedule finished bagged product and outgoing Greenvale products to maximize efficiency and meet agreed service levels.
  • Implement streamlined transportation and logistics processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide exceptional customer support and ensure timely delivery information is communicated effectively.
  • Utilize telesales to optimize vehicle payloads and improve overall transportation efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all systems are aligned with business requirements.
  • Liaise with sales and operations teams to provide real-time information and support.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in transportation/logistics scheduling/planning is essential.
  • Agricultural background will be beneficial for this role.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong methodical approach to work.
  • Must be comfortable using transportation/logistics systems and have good PC skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
