We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as volunteers. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work in a beautiful period setting, contributing to the enjoyment of visitors and gaining valuable experience.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a warm welcome to all visitors and create a positive first impression of the gardens.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the attractions, facilities, and exhibitions and convey information regarding other visitor attractions locally.
  • Support the Front of House team to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level.
  • Assist with keeping all front-of-house areas clean and well-presented.
  • Assist visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner upon arrival.
  • Seek to engage, interact, and communicate with visitors throughout their visit, actively promoting ways to add value to their experience.
  • Attend regular briefings as set out by the Front of House Supervisor.
  • Provide operational assistance for key events.

Requirements:

• A passion for working with people.
• Experience in a customer service environment is desirable.
• Experience using a till and cash-handling.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience or interest in horticulture and/or local history would be beneficial but not essential.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
