About this Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Person Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities to live a meaningful life.
As a key member of the individual's circle of support, you will work closely with them to understand their needs, preferences, and goals. Your role will involve building positive relationships, enabling and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives.
You will be part of a skilled and responsive staff team that delivers individualised, rights-based supports. This may involve working on a flexible schedule, including day, weekend, sleepover, and waking night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Support individuals with disabilities to live a fulfilling life
- Work collaboratively with the individual, their family, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to help individuals achieve their goals
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Health & Social Care Qualification at QQI 5 or related field
- Experience working with vulnerable or marginalised people in various settings
- Awareness/knowledge of intellectual disability, autism, and/or social care sector
- High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
