Electrical Maintenance Specialist Job Description

This role involves delivering high-quality electrical maintenance services to production as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of electrical systems and the ability to provide reactive and planned maintenance support across the site.

  • Maintenance Support: Provide prompt and effective maintenance support to ensure minimal downtime in production and utility areas.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Carry out installations, commissioning of plant/equipment, and troubleshooting to meet operational requirements.
  • Efficiency and Uptime: Contribute to the efficiency of operations by maximizing machinery uptime and minimizing downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance programs to identify and mitigate potential issues before they occur.
  • Troubleshooting: Utilize PLC programming skills to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
  • Facilities Support: Provide technical support for all plant facilities, including compressed air and refrigeration systems.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold a relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or be a time-served Electrician or Fitter with Electrical/Mechanical experience.
  • Experience: Possess at least 3 years' experience in a maintenance role, with proven skills in planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Demonstrate working knowledge and experience of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Show ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Display strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical and decisive approach to resolving complex issues.
