Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and provide individualised counselling to clients, establishing appropriate contracts and maintaining a caseload.
- Manage and report clinical governance issues to the Coordinator, including risk and child protection matters.
- Communicate effectively with team members, professionals, and clients to ensure integrated service provision and facilitate referrals to relevant healthcare services.
- Maintain accurate client records, databases, and statistics in accordance with HSE requirements and local guidelines.
- Candidates should possess experience in conducting assessments for suitability of counselling/therapy and providing one-to-one therapy with diverse client presenting issues.
- Experience in providing therapy in short- and long-term contracts is essential.
- A strong understanding of managing presenting risk issues and current child protection requirements is necessary.
- Proficiency in using IT to support counselling work, including record keeping, is required.
- Hold a qualification at Level 7 or higher on the QQI framework in a human science discipline or a health and social care profession.
- A full driving license and access to a car are desirable.
- Residency in Ireland and legal right to work without restriction are mandatory.
- All candidates will undergo Garda Vetting, and International Police Clearance may be required for those who have lived outside of Ireland for more than six months after the age of 16.
