Technical Automation Specialist for Data Transformation and Quality Assurance

We are seeking a skilled Technical Automation Specialist to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our Digital Assurance and Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technological processes to automate various tasks, leading and aligning with the team's goals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
You will contribute to the delivery of IT Projects through methodologies such as Agile Scrum / Kanban and traditional Waterfall (when required), leveraging your domain knowledge and sector experience.
As a Technical Automation Specialist, you will create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems.
You will understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients, maintaining focus so that projects deliver on key priorities and dependencies.
Be responsible for your own self-development, and maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills.
Actively contribute to EY's Quality Assurance & Testing Community of practice.
Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for API applications, collaborating with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and create test plans, executing automated tests and analysing results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes, conducting code reviews and providing feedback to enhance test quality, report and track defects using Azure DevOps.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full-time test automation role.
- Previous experience in client-facing consulting roles, demonstrating strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Agile/ DevOps and/or traditional environments.
- Proven experience in building and implementing test frameworks using tooling such as Selenium, Cypress, Eggplant or UFT.
- Experience using Cucumber BDD frameworks.
- Experience in mobile test automation using Appium.
- Experience in API testing and tools (e.g., Postman and OAuth 2.0).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Experience with source control tools such as Git
- Develop, execute, and debug automated tests.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git
- Experience of using Test Management tools including issue tracking tools.
- Knowledge of Testing Standards and approaches.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and services (e.g Azure DevOps Pipelines, Boards, Test Plans, Repos)
- Have a structured approach to problem solving and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently managing your own workload with an attention to detail.
