Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Computer Science

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our School of Computer Science as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Computer Science.

About the Role

This is a full-time temporary post that will contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities within the School. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervise student research projects, and engage in scholarly activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of computer science modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Supervise student research projects and dissertations.
  • Contribute to the development of new curricula and assessment methods.
  • Participate in departmental and school-level administrative tasks.
  • Pursue an active programme of scholarly research leading to publication in top-ranked international journals and conferences.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • A strong track record of research publications in top-ranked international journals and conferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation Package

The salary scale for this position is €40,682 - €99,533 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
