Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Transmission and Distribution Power Division in Ireland. The primary purpose of this role is to verify that the primary, secondary, protection and control equipment meets the specification requirements and is in a fit state to be energised and connected to the grid.

This role requires an individual comfortable in a fast-paced project environment, as well as possessing excellent problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.

  • Coordinate, plan, and deliver commissioning projects for high voltage and medium voltage equipment.
  • Commission control and protection equipment according to industry standards.
  • Assess site safety prior to engaging in commissioning activities and coordinate work schedules with site staff as needed.
  • Contribute to fault investigations and reporting.
Key Requirements
  • Electrical trade or engineering qualification.
  • At least 3 years experience in commissioning roles (or similar).
  • Knowledge of commissioning standards, principles and procedures for Transmission and Distribution systems and equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of HV Substation design and processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
