">Job Purpose Summary
">The Residential Support Specialist Trainee will participate in a course of study in Housing Studies, approved by HAIL. They can be a recent graduate or enter from another profession with relevant experience. The role involves taking on responsibilities and participating in in-house training and mentoring.
">They will manage a small designated patch within two years and progress onto a Housing Officer role. Successful completion of the programme may lead to extension of contract.
">Responsibilities
">Manage a designated patch of residential units under supervision. Develop knowledge and skills in Housing Studies through coursework and in-house training. Participate in a mentorship programme to develop career progression.
">Understand the importance of supporting tenants with mental health needs. Provide assistance with household and budget management. Help tenants pursue employment and education opportunities.
">Maintain links between family and friends. Report to Senior Housing Officer.
