Job Overview:
As a Finance Manager at The Panel Group, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights and guidance to our Irish distribution teams. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your primary responsibility will be collaborating closely with the Managing Director of Ireland and his distribution leaders to drive business growth.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE experience, possessing strong communication skills and a business partnering background. You will be responsible for leading month-end closing activities, preparing budgets and forecasts, and acting as a finance expert on various initiatives within the company. Additionally, you will identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the Irish distribution finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise, insights, and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Act as a liaison between the Group Finance department and the Irish distribution teams, promoting collaboration and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Lead the month-end closing activities related to the Irish distribution businesses, providing all necessary reporting and analysis required to support the Group month end close.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for the Irish distribution businesses, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic direction.
  • Present analysis, provide insight, and make recommendations for future strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the Irish distribution finance function.

Requirements:
You must have a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and possess a proactive approach to individual tasks. Demonstrated strategic financial acumen, analytical mindset, commercial awareness, and proficiency in Excel are essential. Strong presentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work without supervision are also required. Furthermore, you must be capable of working on a tactical and strategic level, assuming responsibility, and taking ownership of your role.
