Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the development of our technology platform. As Director, Software Engineering Ireland, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in software engineering.

Your primary focus will be on defining a culture that aligns with our growth objectives and empowers your teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will possess strong technical acumen and skills, enabling you to develop well-balanced processes and solutions that drive significant organisational value.

You will lead and empower highly talented engineers, architects, analysts, and quality engineers to deliver scalable, performant, and highly available solutions. Your uncompromising ownership of outcomes and deliverables will set the standard for your team.

You will serve as a role model for customer-focused delivery, ensuring exceptional results for both internal and external customers. Your ability to work across organisational boundaries, collaborating to deliver innovative platform capabilities, is crucial to our success.

In addition to leading operational excellence and continuous improvement within your team, you will build and foster agile engineering capabilities and quality engineering practices. Your expertise in building, operating, and optimising automated self-service capabilities at enterprise scale is essential.

You will play a key leadership role in the technology transformation of our existing capabilities and innovation of new ones to support business growth. Your contributions to the Platform Strategy Roadmap will drive results against our enterprise goals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering enterprise-scale solutions in support of online, secure, scalable, resilient software as a service and data as a service delivery. A proven track record of leading, inspiring, and growing talented software engineering teams is also required.
