Job Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and driven Producer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing live television broadcasts, ensuring that all content is engaging and relevant to our audience.

The Producer will play a key role in forward planning, booking great stories and emerging talent, and identifying exciting opportunities. They will work closely with the Supervising Producer to develop new content ideas and ensure the show evolves and remains relevant.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide programme editorial under the direction of the Supervising Producer.
  • Produce live television broadcasts, providing editorial direction on air.
  • Oversee forward planning, including identifying great stories, booking talent, and managing future events.
  • Collaborate closely with the Supervising Producer to develop new content ideas.
  • Supervise operations to ensure smooth execution.
  • Develop impactful segments that are both entertaining and informative.

Requirements:

  • A highly creative and driven individual with excellent editorial judgement.
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to pivot between live broadcast tasks and content development.
  • Excellent at forward planning with a passion for seeking out great stories and new ideas.
  • Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, live television environment.
  • Able to balance editorial and commercial needs to ensure the show remains relevant and engaging.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in live television broadcasting.
  • Degree or qualification in Broadcast Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Editing and scriptwriting skills or experience in video production.
  • Knowledge of media law, particularly in relation to broadcasting regulations.
  • Experience working with talent (presenters, guests, contributors) and managing on-air interviews.
