About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Food Quality and Safety Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring high standards of food safety and quality in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive food safety and quality management system.
- To work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and customer requirements.
- To conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- To support the training and development of staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills in food safety and quality.
- To collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- To maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and achievements.
Requirements:
- A 3rd level qualification in a related field such as Food Science or a related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of HACCP principles and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and customer requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
