Job Opportunity: Senior Full Stack Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to lead architectural discussions and decisions, drive innovation, and improve existing standards.

This role will act as a proxy between the development teams and clients, collaborating closely with software developers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with software developers in their daily duties, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilise technical knowledge and experience to mentor, delegate, and assist other developers, promoting code quality and reusability.
  • Coach and motivate team members, mitigating impediments affecting the team.
  • Drive engagement and motivation to sustain talent and reduce attrition rate, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Cooperate with multiple teams in implementing new ideas, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions, leveraging expertise to enhance organisational performance.
  • Maintain and set appropriate standards and technical processes, including productivity enhancements, quality measures, and customer-oriented standards.
  • Influence ways of working by participating in various technical discussions, ensuring alignment within other development teams.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and propose technical advances based on newer technologies, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Share knowledge and distribute responsibilities to elevate team knowledge and eliminate/mitigate points of failure, promoting collaboration and growth.
  • Continually implement and fine-tune processes that increase efficiency in testing, developing, and releasing updates, optimising workflows and improving results.
  • Participate in project-related ceremonies, ensuring smooth project delivery and successful outcomes.
  • Work in an Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps approach depending on the business requirements, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
  • Adhere to best practices and our client's technical standards during the lifecycle of a project, maintaining high-quality outputs.
  • Make use of tools, standards, technologies, and frameworks used within the team and on projects, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
  • Take ownership and lead the development, improving, and troubleshooting of tasks, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Work with minimal supervision, exercising autonomy and self-management skills.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, effectively communicating complex ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to look at a problem and come up with practical solutions, applying analytical and creative thinking skills.
  • Engage with clients and propose innovative ideas on project tasks, fostering collaboration and driving results.
  • Maintain a quality-oriented mindset with testable code, prioritising code quality and reliability.
  • Identify testable areas and contribute towards increasing code coverage, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business in terms of understanding business priorities, communicating progress, highlighting success and delivery risks, and managing expectations in line with the roadmap, building strong relationships and trust.
  • Communicate progress updates to relevant parties both formally and informally, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Lead project architectural design, overseeing the technical direction of projects and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Perform technology research and develop proof-of-concepts and functional prototypes, exploring new ideas and innovations.
  • Develop and build code with a mindset for reusability and maintainability, crafting high-quality and efficient solutions.
  • Performing impact analysis of any code changes, ensuring thorough consideration and evaluation.
  • Contribute towards code quality by taking part in code reviews, promoting collaboration and improvement.
  • Implementation of efficient and performant code, streamlining processes and enhancing results.
  • Edit and own project-related documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide estimates for requests, fixes, and new ideas, facilitating planning and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the recruitment process, assisting in finding top talent and building a skilled team.
