Treasury Governance Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Governance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of services to Treasury and the wider division.

Job Overview

The role involves ownership of Annual Internal Governance Assessments, responsibility for Internal Controls with Internal & External Auditors, managing projects with internal and external stakeholders including Banking Partners, driving efficiency and simplicity by enhancing Treasury tools and utilizing new technology.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Treasury Governance policies & procedures, ensuring they are fully documented, regularly reviewed, and enhanced where possible.
  • Own all Internal Governance Assessments, working closely with the Investment Team to bring together a centralized process for compliance and governance returns on an annual basis.
  • Drive data quality across the team to improve reporting and decision making.
  • Develop proposals for more efficient cash management structures and manage projects through to implementation.
  • Provide training and mentorship to other Treasury team members.
  • Analyse data, design, and prepare value-adding management reports to drive ongoing enhancements.
  • Work effectively with internal and external auditors to assist with year-end audits and internal control regular reviews.
Key Requirements
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and system administration of online banking tools.
  • Good communication skills and multi-cultural awareness.
  • Previous experience in treasury, with banking knowledge and good cash management structures.
  • Dynamic personality and strong ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Ability to assume ownership of defined tasks and manage projects through to implementation.
