Job Title: Facility Assistant Editor

We are seeking an experienced assistant editor to join our busy team in Dublin City.

The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to work across a variety of formats such as Feature Film, TV drama and documentaries.

The role includes supporting all Editors and cutting rooms across a wide range of projects as part of the in-house assistant team.

The responsibilities also include support to the Sound and Picture Finishing departments by delivering the appropriate reference or exchange files and liaising with our VFX team providing turnovers.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience doing a similar role in a post-production facility.
  • Proficiency in using AVID, FCP, Premier Pro and Resolve software programmes.
  • Solid knowledge of supporting multiple Avid cutting rooms.
  • Knowledge of Shared Storage systems.
  • Solid knowledge of Digital camera formats, codecs and processes.
  • Experience and detailed understanding of rushes processing and managing dailies.
  • A clear knowledge of post-production workflows particularly for features and drama.
  • Experience and knowledge of VFX turn overs.
  • Ability to work on both PC and MAC operating systems.
  • Good general IT and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisation, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines and multi-task.
