The role of a Strategic Analyst plays a pivotal part in the Cyber Threat Defense Framework. This position requires effective collaboration with action owners, working closely with the Cyber Threat Evaluation and Prevention organization to identify strategies for resolving and mitigating cybersecurity risks to bank controls.
This involves prioritizing time effectively and leading the discovery of opportunities, implementing data-driven solutions. Additionally, this role supports the strategic lead in enhancing cyber defense capabilities by addressing threats, incidents, and issues across the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for collating escalating and driving the resolution and risk reduction of strategic threats; accurately representing threats and ensuring that risk remediation efforts are executed effectively.
2. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and proactive response to cybersecurity challenges within a collaborative and transparent environment.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Engaging control owners to resolve issues, address vulnerabilities, and reduce risk through remediation work.
2. Driving remediation work in alignment with the known threat environment to reduce risk.
3. Identifying areas for improvement on the identification of and recovery from information security threats and incidents with relevant control owners/teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and experience with information security controls
2. Strong data analysis skills
3. Effective communication and relationship management skills
4. Ambitious, disciplined, hardworking, resilient, and willing to learn
5. Highly organized project management skills
