We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a willingness to learn and adapt.
About the Role:
Maintenance FitterThe Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment. This will include diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime, working collaboratively with the maintenance team to plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules, replacing and repairing defective components, and maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
Key Requirements:
- Time-served Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience.
- Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Knowledge of machines and process equipment, controls, and automation.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical installations, maintenance, and refrigeration systems.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong troubleshooting ability to logically follow a line of thought for problem-solving.
- Holds a full driving license.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours (overtime and on call).
