Job Title: Theatre Nurse Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced theatre nurse to join our team in the operating theatre department at Galway. This is a rostered position that requires flexibility and adaptability.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in operating theatre environments, including knowledge of anaesthetics, surgical procedures, and post-operative care. They should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, communicate clearly with colleagues and patients, and work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality patient care in the operating theatre environment
- To assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients for surgery and maintaining their safety during operations
- To monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or concerns
- To maintain accurate records of patient information and theatre activity
Requirements:
- Degree in nursing or equivalent qualification
- Registered nurse with current registration
- Minimum 2 years' experience in theatre nursing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends
