Medical Laboratory Specialist

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing a clinical laboratory service that supports the clinical needs of patients.

  • Proven experience in medical laboratory settings
  • Registered Medical Scientist with CORU registration certificate required
  • Qualifications as stipulated by the Department of Health
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technical/scientific aspects of the Department's work
  • Participate in ensuring Quality Management System conforms to ISO standards
  • Perform routine, specialised and research/development work to professional standards
