Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Instructor/Supervisor to join a specialist day service supporting adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities in South Tipperary.

This position involves delivering tailored, person-centred training and supporting individuals to build independence, develop life skills, and participate in community life in accordance with New Directions guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training programmes based on individual Person Centred Plans (PCPs)

  • Promote skill development, independence, and social participation

  • Support individuals in developing friendships, hobbies, and employment-related goals

  • Liaise with families, colleagues, and external stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to planning and review processes

  • Act as a Key Worker for assigned service users

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including safeguarding and health and safety

Candidate Requirements

  • QQI Level 6 qualification in Disability Studies, Healthcare, or Train the Trainer (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a similar role working with adults with intellectual disabilities

  • Strong IT and administrative skills

  • Full clean Irish/EU driving licence

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Empathetic, flexible, and committed to person-centred support
