Procurement Specialist Position

We are excited to collaborate with a leading Irish business in their search for a seasoned procurement expert.

This company seeks a highly skilled and experienced procurement specialist to join their central team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement.

Collaborate with various teams to procure products for different ranges, identifying and delivering cost-effective solutions for retail and wholesale products.

Develop and execute the annual procurement plan, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Lead tendering, negotiation, and contracting processes for quality and cost optimisation.

Manage Buying Group lead projects, secure required products at the lowest cost, and challenge existing processes to foster continuous improvement.

Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, analysing market intelligence and trends to inform sourcing strategies.

Generate efficient category procurement strategies, participate in ad-hoc commercial projects, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

About the Ideal Candidate

Relevant degree, minimum 3 years of procurement experience, sound understanding of market dynamics and business judgement.

Strong project management and leadership skills, attention to detail, excellent data analysis skills, ability to work in cross-divisional teams and engage with key stakeholders.
