Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to design and build advanced systems that drive innovation in robotics, autonomous technology, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical production.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in automation and be proficient in developing software for bespoke machinery and manufacturing systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, commission, and support automation control systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using modern automation technologies
  • Develop software solutions for custom machinery and manufacturing processes
  • Engage directly with customers to understand and deliver on technical requirements
  • Review and improve current technologies and processes
  • Support operations with technical problem-solving
  • Prepare project documentation and manage change control

Requirements:

  • A third-level degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, or Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • Practical experience in automation (Rockwell, Ignition, Siemens, OSI PI Historian, VBA are beneficial)
  • Networking knowledge (Cisco certification or VMware experience is advantageous)
  • Understanding of robotics and safety standards is advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • A full driving licence
