Day Service Nurse Role

As a Day Service Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate actively in their local community.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide exceptional care and support to individuals in our Day Services. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering person-centred programmes that promote independence and social inclusion.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with service users, families, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are in place.
• Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in nursing practice and intellectual disability care.
• Contributing to the creation and implementation of individualised care plans that promote optimal health and wellbeing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this rewarding role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Registered Nurse (RNID or RGN) qualification recognised by NMBI.
• Current registration on the NMBI register.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
