**About the Apprenticeship**

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training in all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.

You will gain practical experience in day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and advanced vehicle diagnostics.

The apprenticeship is divided into seven phases: three off-the-job training phases designated by SOLAS and four on-the-job training phases with Bus ireann and Dublin Bus.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide proof of SOLAS equivalence qualifications at the time of application.
