Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Utility Systems to lead our utilities design and construction teams on large-scale projects within the biotech industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience with GMP Classified areas, plant steam generation and distribution systems, cooling tower water, chilled water, process glycol, low pressure hot water, compressed air, and gas systems. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the utilities design and construction teams on large-scale projects.
  • Liaise with other departments and building PMs/leads to ensure streamlined utility and fire protection scheduling and planning for all buildings.
  • Develop and maintain 3D designs for utilities systems.
  • Collaborate with commissioning managers to ensure systems are thoroughly checked upon receipt at the construction site or warehouse.
  • Participate in inspections and approvals of first-in-place installations with construction managers.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a utilities lead on large-scale projects within the biotech industry.
  • SME on GMP facilities, including experience with GMP Classified areas.
  • Experience working on complex projects and in or around operating facilities.
