We are Grant Thornton, a leading firm in the field of financial services tax. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager - Financial Services Tax to join our team. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our Financial Services tax team, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients.

You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from transactional work to strategic advisory services. You will also be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of tax professionals providing financial services tax services to a broad range of clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Manage the implementation of different advisory and compliance projects, including meeting deadlines, prioritization, and billings.
  • Contribute to the financial services tax team's growth and development by proactively managing existing clients and identifying potential opportunities for additional/new client work.

Requirements:

  • ATT/ACA/ACCA or CTA qualified;
  • Minimum 7 years' post-qualification experience in a financial services tax department either in industry or professional services;
  • Strong technical knowledge and proven ability to identify opportunities for clients and grow our financial services tax offering;
  • Capable of working on your own initiative;
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and the team;
  • Proven business development skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential together with proven people development skills to support the development of junior staff;
  • Ambitious and want to pursue a career in practice.
