Job Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Care Worker to join our team at Stewarts Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting community integration and social engagement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users based on equality and respect.">
  • Deliver high-quality care and support in accordance with organisational policies.">
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, national policies, and legislation, HIQA standards, and any other applicable standards/policies/legislation.">
  • Regularly report to the Person in Charge regarding the effective operation of their work location.">
  • Collaborate with the Person in Charge to ensure high-quality care in accordance with HIQA standards.">
  • Maintain a safe and effective work and living environment.">
  • Ensure that the basic healthcare needs of service users are met.">
  • Provide supervision or support as required for service users to engage in activities.">
  • Encourage active participation of service users' families and friends in social activities.">
  • Foster effective communication with families and other supporters of service users.">
  • Develop community connections based on the interests of service users, promoting community integration.">
  • Advocate proactively on behalf of service users.">

Personal Specifications

">

Candidates should hold a CORU-approved Level 7 Degree in Social Care or be registered with CORU.

">

They should demonstrate a strong commitment to the values of Stewarts Care and show ability to work independently.

">

Relevant experience in working with individuals with complex needs is essential.

">

Excellent organisational and communication skills are required.

">

The ideal candidate will possess high initiative, integrity, and knowledge of relevant legislation and HIQA standards.

">

Strong IT and report-writing skills are also essential.

">

A genuine interest in supporting the rights and needs of people with intellectual disabilities is necessary.

">

Clear and concise reporting skills are required.

">

Flexibility, willingness to adapt, and a full clean driving licence (if applicable) are advantageous.
