About the Role

This dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our community-based services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assessing, diagnosing, and providing interventions for children presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans, interventions, and recommendations in line with best practice and professional standards
  • Collaborate with service owners, families, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate records, including assessment reports, intervention plans, and progress updates
  • Contribute to discharge planning, care pathways, and onward referral processes

The successful candidate will be qualified to at least 3rd level in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent, hold CORU registration, and have at least one year of post-qualification experience working with children/young adults with ID. Excellent English speaking and report writing skills are essential.
