Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine laboratory scientific work to the highest standards, receiving training and maintaining competence in all relevant laboratory areas. This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Routine Laboratory Work: Conduct experiments and tests to analyze blood samples and diagnose diseases.
- Maintain Competence: Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in haematology and blood transfusion.
- Support Colleagues: Collaborate effectively with other medical scientists and healthcare professionals to achieve common goals.
- Participate in Service Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory services, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Medical Science from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification.
- Registration: Registration with CORU or eligibility for membership upon completion of studies.
- Experience: Experience working in an ISO15189 accredited laboratory is highly desirable.
- Laboratory Skills: Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and experience with laboratory equipment.
