Job Title: Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team in Arklow, Co. Wicklow with two days per week outreach work in our Dublin services.

The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care and support to Adult Day Services in the region in the areas of complex care and behaviours of concern. They will also provide clinical supervision to nursing staff across the region and at satellite sites as assigned, supporting up-to-date clinical practice, and develop and deliver bespoke and clinical training programmes as identified with service managers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care and support to Adult Day Services in the region in the areas of complex care and behaviours of concern.
  • Provide clinical supervision to nursing staff across the region and at satellite sites as assigned, supporting up-to-date clinical practice, and develop and deliver bespoke and clinical training programmes as identified with service managers.
  • Support the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have:

Requirements:
  • A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in General/RNID/Paediatric Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Registration with An Bord Altranais (NMBI).
  • Post graduate (level 9) nursing qualification.
  • Qualification in the area of Behaviour Support.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience working frontline with individuals with disabilities and medical needs.
