CPL Healthcare is a leading provider of healthcare services in the disability sector. We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join our team in the Leinster Region.

About the Role

As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for empowering service users to live independent lives in their homes and communities. You will work closely with service users to develop and deliver person-centred plans that promote active citizenship and community participation.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant QQI qualification, experience working with service users in the disability sector, and a full clean manual driving license with access to own vehicle for work purposes. They will also have an excellent command of spoken and written English and previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a relevant sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower service users to live independent lives in their homes and communities.
  • Support the development and delivery of person-centred plans that promote active citizenship and community participation.
  • Develop community partnerships to foster active citizenship in line with service user goals and wishes.
  • Transport service users to access community resources and services.
  • Be responsible for key worker duties, including weekly administration, advocacy, liaising with families, and developing and implementing person-centred plans.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant QQI qualification - minimum Level 5 in Healthcare or relevant.
  • Experience working with service users in the disability sector.
  • Be over the age of 18.
  • Have a full clean manual driving license with access to own vehicle for work purposes.
  • Have an excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Have previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a relevant sector.
