About the Role

The Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of inventory on a construction site. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement an effective inventory management system, conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy, and monitor stock levels and reorder materials as necessary to prevent shortages.
  • Receiving and Dispatching: Verify delivery notes against purchase orders, ensure proper storage of materials following safety and organizational guidelines, and prepare materials and equipment for dispatch to various site locations as required.
  • Storage Organization: Implement and maintain a systematic storage system to ensure easy access and retrieval of materials, label and categorize materials and equipment for efficient identification, and keep the storage area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and move materials and equipment using appropriate tools and machinery, follow proper lifting techniques, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Coordination: Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely availability of materials, communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding delivery schedules and material requirements, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
