A Key Role in Urology Patient Care
Job Summary:- This position plays a crucial part in the multidisciplinary team, focusing on delivering expert patient care and education.
- Deliver high-quality patient care, acting as a vital link within the healthcare team.
- Assess patients with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) and perform diagnostic procedures such as catheterisation and urodynamics.
- Develop and manage treatment plans for patients with LUTS, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Promote nurse-led clinics to enhance access to care and reduce waiting times.
- Collaborate closely with the Nurse services of the Urology Department.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments using evidence-based best practices in Urology.
- Identify and implement effective referral pathways for patients requiring urology care.
- Be a registered nurse/midwife with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Hold a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the relevant division.
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in specialist Urology area.
Recent acute experience is highly desirable.
