Job Role

Pipefitter position based on a full-time basis. Location: Cork, Ireland. Salary range: €35,000.00-€42,000.00 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings to select type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to job specifications.
  • Observe and comply with safety and project rules and company policies; inspect the worksite to determine the presence of obstructions.
  • Plan installation sequence to avoid obstructions and coordination with other workers.
  • Proficient in pipefitting tasks including:
  • Measuring and cutting pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe-cutting machine to accurate dimensions.
  • Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines.
  • Mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings to secure pipe.
  • Assemble and install a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings using threaded joints, caulked, soldering, brazing, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools.
  • Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
  • Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing gauges attached to pipes.
